A 3-Day Introduction to Ecstatic Dance Facilitator Training

This 3-day fundamentals training is an introduction to Ecstatic Dance facilitation. It covers the essential skills and concepts needed to guide dance experiences, offering a hands-on, immersive step into the world of Ecstatic Dance. Participants will gain a foundation that prepares them to hold informal dance gatherings, explore facilitation in more depth, and continue into advanced training if they wish. This program provides a practical taste of what it takes to be an Ecstatic Dance facilitator, whether for personal practice, community events, or as a first step toward professional training.

Who this training is for

• Beginners to DJing: If you’ve never DJed before but are curious to learn, this training gives you an introduction in a supportive environment.

• Aspiring Ecstatic Dance Facilitators: For those curious about facilitating dance journeys and holding space.

• Anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of what creates a meaningful, moving dance experience.

• Those who want to gain experience and confidence in guiding others through ecstatic dance journeys.

What you will walk away with

By the end of this three day Fundamentals training:

• You will have a clear understanding of what it means to hold an ecstatic dance.

• You will understand the overall landscape of an ecstatic dance journey, how the arc unfolds, and how music and facilitation shape the experience in the room.

• You will learn how to choose and structure music to create a coherent wave.

• You will gain an introduction to DJ tools used in ecstatic dance, learning the basics using DJ software.

• You will explore the foundations of facilitation, including presence, voice, timing, and practice these skills in a supported, embodied way.

• You will take part in co guiding an ecstatic dance, with each participant guiding a section of the journey, giving you real experience on the mic and on the floor.

• You will leave with greater confidence, clarity and a grounded sense of your next steps in ecstatic dance facilitation and DJing.
